Indianapolis-Scrap Steel Prices are down-Some Junk Car Prices are up!

Indianapolis-Scrap Steel Prices are down-Some Junk Car Prices are up!

I know this statement contradicts itself, but let me explain how scrap steel prices can be down, but junk car prices are going up.  We sell used auto parts.  So when you have a junk car that has in demand used auto parts on it that are in good salvageable condition, we can pay you more than just scrap price for your junk car.  This does not mean that old 1993 Chevy Lumina that has been wrecked and has a bad transmission will bring you top dollar just because the engine runs.  We don't sell too many parts off of a 23 year old car.  It will just bring scrap price.  On the other hand if you have a 2001 Honda Accord with a bad motor, it will bring a premium and almost twice the price of what scrap metal will bring.  If you have a junk car, feel free to call us for a price on it.  (317) 454-3202.

Here is a 2006 Nissan Altima that was wrecked.

We paid $545 for this one.

Selling a junk car in Indianapolis

Indianapolis-if you are trying to sell a junk car in the Indianapolis area there are a few rules you should follow.  First of all, if at all possible, locate the title for your junk car.  You should have the title in your hands before you even call a potential junk car buyer.  Don't just "think" you know where the title is for your junk car, make sure that you know.  If you don't have a title, your Indianapolis junk car buyer can direct your to where you need to call to sell a junk car with no title.  Only have one junk car buyer come at a time.  It is ok to shop, but don't have 3 or 4 junk car buyers coming at once.  This is how these guys make a living.  Don't try to add to their expenses unnecessarily.  Make up your mind if you are going to sell your junk car before you even start calling junk car buyers.  Don't be rude when you call a junk car buyer.  This will get you nowhere.  These guys are just doing their job.  If you have any more junk car buying questions, just call us.  (317) 454-3202.

Selling Your Junk Car?-simple guidelines and Etiquette

Selling Your Junk Car?-simple guidelines and Etiquette

Are you considering selling your old, junk or wrecked car sometime in the near future in the Indianapolis area?  Here are a few simple rules and guidelines that will make the transition of selling your junk car go a lot smoother.  Number 1, it is ok to call several different junk car buyers, but it is not ok to have several coming at the same time.  If one junk car buyer gets there and doesn't pay you what you think your junk car is worth, then call another one.  Don't have 5 junk car buyers show up at once.  This will just piss them all off and they will leave.  If you change your mind and don't want to sell your junk car, call the junk car buyer that is on their way out to you, as soon as possible.  Don't make them have a dry run.  Remember, a dry run means they spend money and you don't make money either.  Be upfront and honest.  If you car is total junk, tell them on the phone.  Don't try to build it up.  When the junk car buyer gets there, he will adjust the price if your car is a total turd.  If you want to know what your junk car is worth, give us a call at (317) 454-3202.

Indianapolis Junk Cars-2007 Chevy HHR?

Indianapolis Junk Cars-2007 Chevy HHR?

We wanted to show you a picture of a junk car that we bought last night.  It was a 2007 Chevy HHR.  Most Chevy HHR's are not junk by an stretch of the imagination.  This particular Chevy though was wrecked.  The insurance totaled out this car, making it a junk car.  We pay cash for junk cars and we pay cash for wrecked cars.

What will we do with a wrecked, junk car like this we are often asked.  The first thing that happens to this wrecked junk car is it gets examined by our experts and decided if it can be fixed and put back on the road.  This car was crashed to bad.  It will get parted out.  The good used parts of this wrecked car will be sold to help keep other HHR's on the road for many years to come.  Then the cores are removed (that would be radiator, starter, catalytic converter, alternator, aluminum rims and parts like this that can be rebuilt).  If the tires are good, they will be sold to a reputable used tire shop here in Indianapolis.  Then what ever is left of the junk car, will get crushed for scrap metal and recycled.  If you are curious what we pay for junk cars, give us a call and we can tell you what we will pay you for your junk car. (317) 454-3202.  If you accept our offer, we will send out one of our tow trucks and tow it away for free as long as you are in Indianapolis or the Indianapolis surrounding areas.
