Junk car prices are up in Indianapolis

Junk car prices are up in Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Indiana-Junk cars are a commodity.  This means that the price of junk cars and junk trucks go up and down based on the price of scrap metal.  about 18 months ago the price of scrap metal and junk cars took a huge drop.  It has slowly been coming back up.  We are currently paying more for junk cars and junk trucks than we were just 6 months ago, but be forewarned that the price of junk cars is not where it was 2 years ago like it was in the glory days.

Scrap Prices keep dropping in Indianapolis

Scrap Prices keep dropping in Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Indiana-Scrap prices keep dropping, not only in Indianapolis, but all over the world.  How does this affect you?  Well the price of steel affects us all, even more so if you are trying to scrap or junk a car.  The price of junk cars has totally nose dived compared to what it was this time last year.  What is the cause of scrap metal dropping?  There are several reasons why scrap metal has been dropping but probably the easiest answer is supply and demand and our economy has provided the perfect storm for junk car prices and scrap in general to hit rock bottoms prices.  The experts seem to think that around February of 2016 that prices will start creeping back up.  Many junk car buyers are currently not buying cars.  Junk Cars Indianapolis is buying junkers.  So if you have that junk car to get rid of, give us a call.  We will take care of you buy giving you the best price for your junk car that we can and tow it away for free.   Give us a call at (317) 454-3202.

Junk car Prices still down in Indianapolis

Junk car Prices still down in Indianapolis

Indianapolis-as most of you know, the price of scrap metal has been down for the last 5 months.  We had really hoped that by now the price would be going back up.  We have heard several different dates of when it was going back up, but so far, no luck.  The main reason of the scrap prices being down, which makes the junk car prices down, is we still have a surplus of scrap steel.  I have noticed though that the price of oil is going up.  This is good for the junk car business and scrap steel business.  When oil hits $3/gallon or more, it is profitable for the oil companies to frack, so the fracking increases.  The oil industry accounts for up to 20% of the steel industry.  Hopefully this means that the price of steel will soon be going up.  When the price of steel goes up, the price of junk cars in Indianapolis also goes up.

Indianapolis-Scrap Steel Prices are down-Some Junk Car Prices are up!

Indianapolis-Scrap Steel Prices are down-Some Junk Car Prices are up!

I know this statement contradicts itself, but let me explain how scrap steel prices can be down, but junk car prices are going up.  We sell used auto parts.  So when you have a junk car that has in demand used auto parts on it that are in good salvageable condition, we can pay you more than just scrap price for your junk car.  This does not mean that old 1993 Chevy Lumina that has been wrecked and has a bad transmission will bring you top dollar just because the engine runs.  We don't sell too many parts off of a 23 year old car.  It will just bring scrap price.  On the other hand if you have a 2001 Honda Accord with a bad motor, it will bring a premium and almost twice the price of what scrap metal will bring.  If you have a junk car, feel free to call us for a price on it.  (317) 454-3202.
